Privacy Policy

NestFiles is a local Windows file-management utility published by Verteletsky Software. It helps users scan selected folders, identify exact duplicate files, review planned file operations, organize files, use reversible quarantine, and restore supported operations. NestFiles does not require a user account.

2. Information processed locally

To provide its functionality, NestFiles may access and process information from folders explicitly selected by the user, including file and folder names, paths, sizes, timestamps, locally calculated hashes, file contents when needed for duplicate detection, user-selected settings, and local operation records used for recovery. This information is processed locally on the user's Windows device.

3. Information received by Verteletsky Software

NestFiles does not transmit selected file names, folder paths, hashes, file contents, scan results, or local operation records to Verteletsky Software. NestFiles does not include advertising, behavioral tracking, or third-party analytics.

4. Local storage

NestFiles may store application settings, scan-related information, manifests, journals, quarantine information, and recovery records locally on the user's device. These records support safety checks, operation history, recovery, and supported restore workflows.

5. Local application communication

NestFiles may use the local loopback interface for communication between application components running on the same device. This communication is local to the device and is not intended to transmit file information over the internet.

6. File operations

NestFiles performs file operations only after they are initiated or confirmed by the user. Safety controls may include preview steps, confirmation requirements, protected-location restrictions, no-overwrite protection, local operation records, and reversible quarantine.

7. Information sharing

Verteletsky Software does not sell, rent, or share NestFiles user file information with advertisers or other third parties because NestFiles does not receive that information.

8. Children's privacy

NestFiles is a general-purpose file-management utility and is not specifically directed to children.

9. Security

NestFiles is designed to keep file processing and recovery records on the user's device. Users should keep Windows updated, protect their Windows account, and maintain backups of important files.

10. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when NestFiles functionality or legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date will be revised when the policy changes.
